What this offer is, in plain English

This is a "Bet & Get" promotion conditional on a winning first bet — meaningfully different from the prior No-Sweat (refund-on-loss) FanDuel was running. Open a new FanDuel Sportsbook account, fund it with at least $5, then place a real-money first wager of $5 or more on any market. There is no minimum-odds requirement. If that first wager wins, FanDuel credits $150 in Bonus Bets on top of your normal winnings, posted within 72 hours of the first bet settling. If the first wager loses, no Bonus Bets are issued — your stake is gone and the promotion is consumed. That win-condition is the key distinction from older first-bet protection offers and changes how you should think about bet selection.

A worked example

Suppose you stake $50 on Yankees moneyline at -130 as your qualifying first bet. Outcome A: Yankees win. You receive your $50 stake back plus $38.46 in cash profit (the moneyline payout) plus $150 in Bonus Bets within 72 hours of settlement — total realized value approximately $188 on top of your returned stake. Outcome B: Yankees lose. You lose the $50 stake, no Bonus Bets are issued, and the offer is gone. Because the bonus pays only on a win, the breakeven calculation is different from a refund offer: you are effectively buying the $150 Bonus Bet credit by giving up a small portion of expected value on your first bet.

Expected value

Treat the $150 Bonus Bet pack as worth roughly 65–75% of its face value in real money (the typical EV conversion for bonus credits where stake is not returned). That puts the Bonus Bets at around $100–$112 in true value. To capture it you need a first bet that wins. If you pick a bet at fair odds with an implied win probability of, say, 55%, the expected bonus value is roughly 0.55 × $107 ≈ $59 above what the bet alone would return. The lower the win probability of the qualifying bet, the lower the expected bonus value, and the longer the odds the more variance you carry — which is why a confident moneyline pick on a moderate favorite is usually the most rational way to engage with this offer.

How to play the offer

Pick a first wager you genuinely believe is a coin-flip or better at fair-or-better pricing — not a long shot, not a heavy chalk play. Heavy chalks make the win likely but the bet itself has poor EV; long shots make the bonus rarely cashable. Mid-range moneyline favorites (think -110 to -180 on a team you have a reason to back) sit in the sweet spot. Once the Bonus Bets are issued, allocate them across +100 to +300 single-bet markets — bonus credits convert best at plus-money odds because the profit-to-stake ratio is higher (the stake does not return on a Bonus Bet, only the profit). Avoid stacking them on long parlays; you will reduce the expected value of the pack.

How this compares to competing offers

  • DraftKings — Bet $5, Get $100 in Bonus Bets — Smaller headline amount but pays out instantly regardless of first-bet outcome. DK wins on certainty; FD wins on dollar value conditional on a win.
  • BetMGM — First Bet Offer up to $1,500 — Refund-on-loss mechanic up to a much larger cap. Best for high-conviction larger first bets where the downside risk is meaningful.
  • Caesars — Wager $1, Get $300 in Bonus Bets — Tiny qualifying bet, large guaranteed token issuance. Different category of offer — closer to DK's instant-credit model with higher face value.
  • Fanatics — Up to $1,000 FanCash — Loyalty-currency model, paid as 10 × $100 Bet Match credits over time rather than a single front-loaded grant.

Should you take this offer?

The win-required mechanic suits two profiles. First, bettors who already plan to back a confident mid-range favorite at fair pricing for their first wager — those bettors capture the $150 Bonus Bet pack at no real EV cost. Second, bettors who want to test the FanDuel product (app, payout speed, market depth) and are happy treating the qualifying bet as a normal $5–$50 wager with the bonus as upside. The offer is less attractive than DraftKings' unconditional grant if your first bet is a coin flip or worse, and less attractive than BetMGM's refund offer if you want downside protection on a much larger first bet. Frequently asked questions

How does the FanDuel May–June 2026 welcome offer work?

Open a new FanDuel Sportsbook account, deposit at least $5, then place a real-money first bet of $5 or more on any market. If that first bet wins, $150 in Bonus Bets is credited within 72 hours of the bet settling. If the first bet loses, no Bonus Bets are issued.

What if my first bet loses?

You lose your stake and the promotion ends — no Bonus Bets are issued. This is a Bet & Get offer, not a refund offer, so a losing first wager forfeits the bonus.

Is there a minimum-odds requirement on the qualifying bet?

No. The qualifying first bet can be placed at any odds on any FanDuel Sportsbook market that is live on platform.

When does the offer end?

June 3, 2026 at 11:59 PM ET. New customers who register after that date will see a different welcome offer.

Can I withdraw the $150 in Bonus Bets directly?

No. Bonus Bets are non-withdrawable wager credits. Only profit from a settled, winning Bonus Bet converts to withdrawable cash — the stake does not return.

How long do I have to use the Bonus Bets after they're credited?

Verify the current expiry window on FanDuel — Bonus Bet expirations are commonly seven days but can vary by state. Treat the tokens as time-sensitive once they post.

What if I'm not happy with FanDuel after signing up?

You can withdraw any real-money winnings normally — the welcome offer does not lock you into the operator. Read our FanDuel review before depositing if you want a second opinion.
