BetMGM Introduces Cross-Platform Loyalty Program

How the new MGM Rewards integration works across sportsbook, casino and poker

BetMGM today announced a significant relaunch of its MGM Rewards integration. The new program, which goes live April 15, unifies wagering across BetMGM Sportsbook, BetMGM Casino, and BetMGM Poker — meaning every dollar bet anywhere in the BetMGM ecosystem now contributes to a single cross-platform status tier.

What's changing

Under the previous structure, sportsbook bets earned MGM Rewards Tier Credits separately from casino bets, and poker activity was a third silo. Players who split their action across products often found themselves stuck at lower tier levels despite total wagering volume that should have qualified them for higher status.

The new structure aggregates all three. A player who bets $10,000 on sports and $5,000 on casino now reaches the same Tier Credit threshold as a player who bet $15,000 on a single product.

Tier benefits

The MGM Rewards tiers — Pearl, Gold, Platinum, NOIR — convert directly to comp value at MGM properties. Status benefits at higher tiers include:

  • Pearl: Standard rewards, 5% cashback at MGM resort restaurants, priority check-in
  • Gold: 10% cashback, complimentary self-parking, M Life Insider events
  • Platinum: Free room nights at participating properties, 15% cashback, priority customer service
  • NOIR: Suite upgrades, dedicated concierge, exclusive event access (Forbes Travel Guide-rated experiences)

The cross-platform unification means players can earn meaningful status faster — particularly players who naturally split between products (e.g., NFL Sundays in sportsbook, slots play during the week).

Sports-specific changes

BetMGM Sportsbook also announced revised earn rates: 1 Tier Credit per $5 wagered on standard sports bets, up from 1:$10 previously. This effectively doubles the rate at which sportsbook activity contributes to status, bringing it closer to parity with the casino's earn rates.

Bonus bets and odds-boost wagers earn at the same rate as cash bets. SGP+ bets earn at a reduced rate (1 Tier Credit per $10 wagered) reflecting the higher hold rate on those products.

How it compares

BetMGM's MGM Rewards integration has long been the strongest loyalty program in US sports betting. The new cross-platform unification widens that lead.

Caesars Rewards remains a strong #2, with similar resort-comp integration but slightly lower earn rates. DraftKings Crowns and FanDuel Group rewards programs are pure digital — no resort integration — and are best suited for players who want bonus bets and merchandise rather than travel value.

BetRivers' iRush Rewards is the highest-yielding pure cashback program in the US (3-7% effective return on losses for high-volume players) but lacks the travel benefit dimension.

What it means for bettors

For BetMGM users who already prioritize the operator for loyalty value: the new system is unambiguously better. Cross-platform aggregation, doubled sportsbook earn rates, and unchanged tier-benefit thresholds add up to faster status for the same wagering volume.

For bettors weighing where to consolidate volume: BetMGM's loyalty value now meaningfully exceeds competitors for any user who travels and would benefit from MGM resort comps. For users who don't travel or who prioritize bonus value over comp value, DraftKings or FanDuel may still produce better total returns.
