Operator reviews
Every operator review reflects hands-on testing, not desk research. Our review process:
- Sign-up flow. We open a real account in a state where the operator is legal, complete identity verification, and document the experience.
- Deposit and withdrawal. We deposit, place test bets, and request a withdrawal. We measure speed, friction, and any complications.
- Product testing. Across 30+ days, we place bets on game lines, props, parlays, SGPs, and live markets — comparing pricing to other operators using closing-line data.
- Customer support. We test live chat, phone, and email channels, and document response times and quality.
- Responsible gambling tooling. We test deposit limits, time-outs, self-exclusion, and reality checks at the operator level.
- Compliance and licensing review. We verify licensing across every state where the operator claims to operate.
Strategy content
Strategy guides are written by working bettors, reviewed by our editorial team, and stress-tested with public data where possible. Where we make claims about edge, hold percentages, or market dynamics, we cite operator filings, AGA reports, state regulator data, or our own market sampling.
News and industry coverage
News articles draw from primary sources: SEC filings, state regulator releases, AGA publications, operator earnings calls, and verified industry-research firms (Eilers & Krejcik, Wells Fargo Gaming Equity, Macquarie). We avoid unsourced industry rumor.
Original research
Our annual State of the Industry report synthesizes Q1 operator filings, AGA data, state regulator monthly reports, and our internal market sampling across 200+ markets at 6 major operators. The methodology is documented within the report itself.
Fact-checking
Every claim that's specific, numerical, or attributable is fact-checked against primary sources. Where data is contested or evolving, we present multiple estimates and date the data point.
